The kit includes:

  • Cleaning reagent
  • Reducing agent
  • Passivation buffer BSA 1%
  • Passivation buffer Pluronic 5%.
  • Selection of beads

Cleaning reagent and Reducing agent can still be used in current recommended C-Trap workflows, but only for the removal of DNA intercalating dyes and in combination with Alkaline Cleaning Reagent (ACR) – the new reagent for standard cleaning cycles of the microdluidics module of the C-Trap.

For workflows involving intercalating dyes, the Cleaning Reagent and Reducing Agent can also be purchased as add-ons with the Beads & Cleaning Kit – Recommended, which includes ACR to support more effective cleaning and passivation of the microfluidics module.

Specifications

Store at Room Temperature: 

  • Cleaning reagent: 300 ml | 1x concentration.
    Hazardous material. Contains sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide.

  • Reducing agent: 15 ml| 30x concentration.
    Contains sodium thiosulphate.

  • Pluronic: 15 ml | 5%.

 

Store at -20°C:

  • BSA solution: 4 x 4 ml tubes | 1%.  Store at -20°C

 

Bead Selection – Store at 4°C:

  • Streptavidin-coated beads (⌀ 1.0–1.4 µm): 60 µl | 1.0% (w/v).
    Dilution factor: 1:1000.

  • Streptavidin-coated beads (⌀ 1.5–1.9 µm): 60 µl | 1.0% (w/v).
    Dilution factor: 1:1000.
  • Streptavidin-coated beads (⌀ 4.0–4.9 µm): 600 µl | 0.5% (w/v).
    Dilution factor: 1:100.

  • Anti-digoxigenin-coated beads (⌀ 0.7–0.9 µm): 600 µl | 0.1% (w/v).
    Dilution factor: 1:100.
  • Anti-digoxigenin-coated beads (⌀ 2.0–2.4 µm): 600 µl | 0.1% (w/v).
    Dilution factor: 1:100.

All beads are polystyrene and supplied in PBS with 3 mM sodium azide.
Exact diameter is indicated on the tube label.
