Product Description

The standard kit for your AFS™ instrument. Contains the following:

  • Biotinylated ds pKYB1 DNA with a 25-nt 5′-end overhang
  • BSA passivation reagent
  • Pluronics passivation reagent
  • Streptavidin coated polystyrene beads (1.76 µm)
  • Streptavidin coated polystyrene beads (4.5 µm)
  • Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) based buffer

Additional Information

Biotinylated ds pKYB1 DNA

25 µl – 1.5% (w/v) double-stranded expression vector pKYB1 (8393 bp) with a 25-nt 5′-end overhang. Digoxygenin-labeled 5′ end and biotin-labeled 3′ end of one of the strands, diluted in TE buffer (10 nM Tris HCl pH 8.0 and 1 nM EDTA).

BSA passivation reagent

20 ml – 1% (w/v) bovine serum albumins (BSA) in PBS buffer. For passivation of AFS™ flow cell.

Pluronics passivation reagent

10 ml – 5% (w/v) pluronics F127 in PBS based buffer. For passivation of AFS™ flow cell.

Polystyrene beads (1.76 µm)

1 ml – 5% (w/v) streptavidin coated polystyrene microspheres with a diameter of 1.76 µm in water. Binds to biotinylated DNA (e.g. the provided λ-DNA) and can be optically manipulated using the C-Trap™.

Polystyrene beads (4.5 µm)

1 ml – 5% (w/v) streptavidin coated polystyrene microspheres with a diameter of 4.5 µm in water. Binds to biotinylated DNA (e.g. the provided λ-DNA) and can be optically manipulated using the C-Trap™.

PBS based buffer

100 ml – Phosphate-buffered saline buffer with 5 mM sodium azide (NaN3) and 0.5 mM EDTA.
